Marvel is back, this time with their fan-favorite antiheroes. Eddie Brock and Venom return for the final film of the Venom trilogy, “Venom: The Last Dance.” Released in theaters on Oct. 24, here is what we know about the long-awaited installment.
“Venom: The Last Dance” centers around Eddie and Venom’s dealing with their biggest threat yet: the government’s secret agendas and aliens from Venom’s home planet invading Earth. Eddie & Venom must make a grand decision that could affect their lives and the world itself. With these problems, it’s safe to say that the duo has a grand adventure ahead of them.
The opening box office made $51 million after its Friday release date. Venom 3 dances around its competitor film, Smile 2, which had a $23 million opening weekend box office. The critics and fans of the Venom franchise have mixed feelings about the film. The Rotten Tomatoes reviews declare the movie rotten, with 38% rotten tomatoes, while fans, known as the PopCornmeter, rate the movie 80%.
Tom Hardy, who plays the trilogy’s main protagonist, Eddie Brock, has spoken about his experience playing the Marvel character. On a panel in NYCC’s ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ he said, ‘It’s been one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life, so it’ll be sad to see him go.’
While we won’t get a fourth installment of the Venom trilogy, we are not yet done with the symbiote alien. The Marvel Cinematic movie franchise has teased Venom’s appearance in the MCU. Tom Holland, known for his role as Spiderman in the MCU, has just confirmed Spiderman 4 on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Fans are curious to see who the reigning villain opposite our favorite Peter Parker will be. While it is not confirmed, Venom is a known villain to Spiderman in the comics, and fans can only hope that Eddie and Venom will appear in the MCU’s version of Spiderman 4. We can only dream about what’s next for our favorite hero and his symbiote (Venom).
