McNeese is adding a kickball tournament as part of Spring Fling.

Spring Fling, set for April 20-23, celebrates the coming of spring with a week of activities, food, and events. The week leads up to the Spring Court election and ends with the winner being announced at the Crawfish Boil.

Bralyn Simmons, director of student activities for McNeese, organizes the event with Student Life Coalition through the Office of Student Activities, collaborating with student leaders and volunteers, campus partners and vendors. She said the planning involves figuring out what students are excited about and deciding how to make that happen across campus.

“Our goal is to create a week that brings students together to celebrate the end of the semester and enjoy campus life,” she said.

Simmons said students can start forming teams now. Each team can consist of 10 participants, including a minimum of four female players per team. The entry fee is $50 per team, and the winning team will take home more than $500.

Along with the kickball tournament, students can expect a mix of interactive activities, entertainment, and campus traditions that aim to encourage them to spend time outside with friends and celebrate the semester.

“Spring Fling has always been about giving students a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy campus before finals begin,” Simmons said.

Traditions include the presentation of Spring Court 2026 hosted by the Student Government Association and the Crawfish Boil, both set for April 23.

The Spring Court will be announced April 1 at the SGA meeting in Parra Ballroom at 4 p.m.
