McNeese State University has a new student engagement platform app called Suitable for students to find student organizations, campus events and involvement opportunities.
Suitable allows students to engage with their campus by tracking student organizations and clubs, organization profiles and contact information, campus activities and events, involvement opportunities, and leadership, career, or co-curricular progress.
The platform replaces Presence, now known as Modern Campus Involve, the campus engagement platform that McNeese moved from during the Spring 2026 semester.
Bralyn Simmons, director of Student Activities, said the new platform is intended to help students explore campus opportunities while allowing student organizations to manage their information and communicate with students.
“Our transition to Suitable for the Poke Portal was really centered on creating a more accessible and intentional involvement experience for our students,” Simmons said. “We wanted a platform that not only makes it easier for students to discover organizations and opportunities that align with their interests but also makes it easier for student organizations to operate, maintain their presence, share updates, promote events, and connect with students.”
Students can sign into Suitable using their McNeese email address and access information about more than 80 campus organizations.
Organizations listed on the platform include Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Biology Club, Cowboy Catholics, McNeese Robotics, the McNeese Student Nurses’ Association, the Student Art Association, Turning Point USA McNeese, and more.
Suitable also has an ‘Achievements’ tab that tracks student attendance at events. Students can find upcoming events under the ‘Activities’ and scan a QR code provided by the Student Coalition group at participating events to gain points for attending.
