McNeese State University’s Residence Life launched the fall season with a week of Halloween-themed activities, including pumpkin painting, movie night, games and crafts designed to keep students engaged and prepared for the season. The events offered residents opportunities to celebrate, express their creativity and connect with fellow residents.

Burton Hall kicked off the week’s festivities with its Halloween Bash on Tuesday, October 20, in the residence hall lobby. The event featured pumpkin painting, a Halloween-themed movie, free pizza, and candy. Residents could decorate pumpkins, enjoy refreshments, and unwind with fellow residents in a festive setting.

The celebrations continued Wednesday, October 21, with the Residence Hall Association’s Cozy Game Night at the McNeese Clubhouse. Scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., the event invited students to play games in their pajamas while enjoying food and drinks. The evening also featured a raffle for a basket of games, adding to the relaxed atmosphere.

On Thursday, October 22, King’s and Watkins Suites hosted their Fall Fest at the Clubhouse. Running from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the event featured crafts, mini-games, and prizes. The gathering added another seasonal activity to the week’s lineup, giving residents an opportunity to participate in fall-themed entertainment and spend time with their peers.

The week’s festivities continue on Friday, October 23, 5-7 p.m. at Collette Hall with the Haunted Hallways Door Decorating Contest and Halloween Party. Residents are invited to decorate their dorm doors throughout October, using Halloween-themed designs. During the party, judges are scheduled to select the top three decorated doors, with first, second and third-place prizes awarded to the winners.

Through its range of activities, McNeese Residence Life provided students with opportunities to step away from their academic routines and connect with fellow residents. From pumpkin painting and game nights to creative door decorations, the week’s events celebrated the fall season while encouraging community engagement across campus.
